Google to promote Chrome browser through TV ads

According to both the Wall Street Journal and Google's official blog, Google will promote it's Chrome browser through a TV ad.

They need to promote it. I think it would make newbies happier with their "experience". Everybody in my family has problems with IE so I give them Chrome and they would never go back. It's good for newbies and power users alike. IMO

May be not as fast as FF!!!

It is faster than ff by a mile. Not only does it render much much faster but it opens instantaneously as soon as it is clicked. firefox takes seconds to open. Firefox is bloated and just feels heavy.

Chrome ftw by a mile.

I tried ff x64 yesterday to see if was any different to the normal one and it's not so it got uninstalled. I was a Firefox for a long time but as soon as chrome hit the streets it made it look really slow.

something apple got right - using webkit. chrome uses webkit as well. they are both very fast. i know people who are using the linux port of chromium (google chrome without the googleness) because of it being faster than the default browser in most distros (ff), although kubuntu uses a webkit browser (can't spell it name, its the kde default one though). now i must go wash myself because of the linux talk (lol).
