Hi all
I looked at the hype surrounding Google Wave.
I'm not convinced I would go for this type of application -- for me Email is Email -- that's ALL I need it for.
I'm not sure I'd want a "Big Brother" type application echoing my keystrokes to all and sundry as I type them in any case.
Just curious to see what other people on this Forum think of the whole Idea of Google Wave.
Mind you my response was probably to be expected as I still just regard a mobile phone as a TELEPHONE and nothing else -- I HATE texting and have never sent a text message in my life so this whole idea of "Real time collaborative (spelling ?) software" might be a "generational thing" as I view things like facebook and twitter with equal disdain
Language is a beautiful thing and to limit responses into "Robot like I speak your weight machines" of 140 chars or less will surely kill stone dead the beautiful art of Oratory and decent literature in the future.
I for one hope that this abomination never takes off -- Google have lots of ideas but fortunately none of them ever work properly as a commercial product. Google should stick to its core business which it does very well.
cheers
