Well, if that's the best you could manage...

I'm kidding - that looks like a terrific computer! Are you a gamer? It would be a shame to not give that video card a good workout. :D

An 1090T is only good for 7.5 at stock clocks. Then again it's only the WEI, so it's nothing to be worried about :)

Either way it's a good new build which you'll enjoy ;)

Fluffy,
That is going to be a crazy fast system. I would consider the investment of a SSD drive if you can afford it. Why fresh install everything onto a 16mb cache spinner? at the very least invest in a smaller and faster spinner with 64mb cache and then place all the data on the 1/2 TB. Oh and I just got two new 23" LG LED's and they're very nice for the money my only gripe and it's really a non issue is there isn't vesa mounts so I have to just use the OEM stands...oh darn. Another idea is go with two more LG 19's as they have to be very inexpensive and run them all in Eyefinity if you have the real estate.

Agreed, don't focus so much on the WEI. A 1090T should perform quite nice. I mean, my Q9550 from 2 years ago gets a 7.0...so as you can see this WEI isn't really indicative of true performance as a 2 year old newer CPU should really outperform an older one.

Windows and Linux enthusiast. Logitech G35 Headset.
Get a good monitor with an IPS panel rather than a TN panel. Here's two great value IPS monitors. They are 23" which is now the standard 16:9 .
A 24" 16:10 monitor will cost you a lot more and you might find it as cheap to look at both of these companies 27" models.

These retail at around £200 which is amazing for IPS technology.:)

The board is sweet, I am just playing with the Crosshair V as I started a review of it today.

The Vengeance might only net you a 7.8 but as said earlier, its just WEI. Now, you will be set for Bulldozer when ever AMD gets off their butts.

You want to make this new system really snap to then you really should invest in a small, say 64 or 80GB SSD for the OS, that will be the best bang for the buck upgrade you could do now.
