If you can burn a CD on a friends computer this evening/tomorrow you can run the removal toll from that CD on your computer.
This may get things back to normal and your done maybe.

See if you can remove the infection by running a bootable CD scan: FREE Bootable AntiVirus Rescue CDs Download List
Only go to here if you can't make or the above doesn't work.
If not then this is to save your files. It will need to be scanned before reinstalling on your drive.

Get the Removal CD made and everything removed and working you can skip this also maybe.
If your not worried about saving items or you get them saved then go ahead with this.

If not, wipe the HD and clean reinstall: SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation
Clean Install Windows 7
Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version

For Factory OEM: If you don't have a Windows 7 DVD, run Recovery Disks if you made them or as a last resort run the bootable Recovery partition which itself may be infected. This does not wipe the HD of infection however so you may need to order DIsks if you didn't make them, or find a DVD to clean reinstall factory OEM using these suggested steps: re-install windows 7

You may need a bootable CD AV from the list I provided, since the virus then cannot hide in running files.

Avira is good.

If this is a serious enough infection it may be best to wipe the HD to reinstall. Do you have a Win7 DVD or Factory Recovery Disks?

Take a look at this page How to remove Spyware Protect 2009 (Uninstall Instructions)
Do you see any of those files listed? You will need to unhide hidden files and folders.
Click on control panel, folder options, untick 'don't show hidden files and folders'
and 'hide extentions for known file types'.

Ok guys, let me begin by apologizing for my utter stupidity. Me and a local PC friend of mine fixed the problem. Apparently I had a win32 trojan but that wasn't the only problem, apparently microsoft essentials received an update yesterday that for some reason sent my user settings to "always notify me" which in turn would not allow me to open or install anything. Setting it back to never notify me after removing the quarantined trojan then allowed me to open and install programs.

My machine is cleaned a lot better do to some of your suggestions:). I jumped the gun on calling it a blaster worm do to google search results about the problem, which was foolish as hell on my part. Again, I apologize. I would like to thank all of you for speedy help replies on this forum, sadly the majority of internet forums do not have people such as yourselves who offer help in such a quick manner. Thank you for baring with my noobness:o.

Do you have a Win7 DVD or Factory Recovery Disks?

pitt78- One very positive thing that you could take from this is making sure that you have the resources that you would need to do a full recovery should a disaster like this strike again.

You might also consider looking into disk imaging recovery. My personal preference is Macrium Reflect and I keep backup images on a remote drive so that a full and complete recovery is never more than 5 minutes away.
