my ram troubles are over... apparently i got bad ram twice from newegg.com so i rma'ed it with a-data and the new stuff arrived and all 4 sticks passed 6 passes on memtest overnight :)

It looks good. You were wise to use memtest. The built in memory test is not as accurate.
