Hey guys
I recently installed Win 7 Pro that I got as a student. It is the upgrade version. Everything went smoothly.

I want to upgrade my HDD as the old one is too slow. Is there anyway I could install it on the new HDD seeing that there would be no operating system to upgrade and thus it won't accept the upgrade Key. Also I used the key once, would I be able to reuse it with the new install?

Thanks guys

How about just doing using Windows Backup to make an image and restore it to the new drive. You can change the partition sizes in Disk Management afterward.

I know it sounds weird but I like to have clean installations. It's just something at the back of my mind when I work on the computer. I know nothing will go wrong with your method but it is just a computer superstition. :D
