Got windows 8 Pro upgrade in form of ISO

Hello, my university offers faculty members windows 8 pro UPGRADE version in form of ISO file, I have laptop with genuine windows 7 home premium, how to install it?

tried to burn it on dvd but keeps failing at 30's %, so i borrowed a usb stick 8gb from a friend, how to do it?
