GPU upgrade or not?

I am currently running a Sapphire HD7750 1G (Radeon R7 200x) and have been for some time. I am looking at possibly upgrading to a Radeon R9 270X 4GB GDDR5 DVI-I/DVI-D/HDMI/DP Dual-X with Boost and OC version PCI-Express Graphics Card 11217-04-20G. I have a 500w PS which should be adequate. (See Sys Specs for details.) I am mostly a flight sim gamer (MSFSX, Wings of Prey, War Thunder..) and am about ready for an upgrade. The R9 card is available for $189 (less $20 rebate) and free 2 day shipping. I'm thinking an R9 4g card delivered in 2 days for $169 is hard to beat.

Once again, I was hoping for some insight that might be technically insightful in relation to my original post. AddRam, I do appreciate the link to the reviews. But does anybody have any serious thoughts that might actually be of value, or has the W7F GPU forum simply become a room full of smart-asses? If so, I'll seek information elsewhere.

I had HD-7770 1GB card before, which should be comparable to your HD-7750, I think (you can check "minor" differences on web). Because I assumed my card was "dying"...

..I bough Sapphire R9 270X 2GB -again similar to your choice. Now, I'm not a 3D gamer (so I can't tell differences for various games), but I do run some 3D applications. In short:
In real use, difference in speed IS quite noticeable -which is to be expected (GPU is more powerful after all). But in my humble opinion, a big percentage of speed we gain because of increased RAM. Today's 3D apps (especially games, I assume) have huge amount of (large) textures, which need to be available as fast as possible -so GPU can process them.
What all gamers know, graphic card can never be fast enough, so don't expect too much from this card. I've ran few (gaming) 3D benchmarks and I was quite impressed...
Summary: your 7750 is a tad slower than 7770 (which I had).. and now you'd get better GPU and 4GB.. yes, I think it's worth upgrading.
Note: 500W PS could be problematic (depends on quality of PS, etc.) -as many know, it's not wattage alone that makes a good PS. And keep in mind, R9 270X requires two 6pin power connectors.
