if i were you i would start hunting down atleast 2 usable gigs of ddr ram 768 mb 128mb video card has already defeated you

Im sure that was one of the issues it had and noone bothered to fix it but pretty much if it is on board video you have no chance of playing any games to slow to even get it going

If you purchase a decent AGP slot type card that runs 256 mb even 512 might yeild some results that is where i would start first ram and the video adapter

I picked up one of these 6200LE for an old P4 machine I used as a Linux box. It works pretty well, and is DX9 so it's probably current enough to play some older games. It will be much better than what I am assuming is onboard graphics.

As for Windows 7, you will really want to bump up the RAM if you can. 2GB is probably bare minimum for a smooth experience. You can get by with less, but it will be a poor experience. Lots of disk thrashing and slowness...

the AGP card and DDR Ram then you should be ok the ram will make a big differnce cause the card will use the system ram and back to square 1

So grab the ram and the card and you should be smooth sailing from here on out

Most likely, just DDR. (not 2 or 3)

Look for PC3200 or DDR400 (same thing, different labels)

***EDIT***
Hmm... checking the web for your mainboard's specs (P4M266-8233) is is coming up with PC133 RAM as being compatible. That's a generation before DDR RAM... We'll need to verify the type of RAM you can use... PC133 is getting hard to find, and is starting to get pretty salty in price...

yeah that's right DDR 3200 -2800 but as quoted above DDR pc-3200-400mhz is the fastest you will be able to get

if you get a PCI card make sure it isn't PCI-e BIG DIFFERENCE !

different bus type alltogether ,I would just stick to that AGP card you wanted to order should do you fine

by the way if you want a better card this is the card i used back in the day i gave it to a friend but it is still a top of the line card and plays pretty decent and newer games http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3092427&CatId=2234
