Graphics Card crash ONLY after overclocking...

Hello! So i built my new PC about 1.5 weeks ago and I wanted to start overclocking.
First I Overclocked my amd fx 6300 to 3.8ghz (3.5ghz stock).

My GPU is a Gigabyte GTX 650 TI 2GB OC edition.

This sucker has 2 huge fans on it and a big A$$ heatsink, So i figure this this can really be juiced for some power . I first turned my fans up on it to 60% - I now run 25 degrees Celsius on idle And 30 C on load. As you know that is ridiculously good.

So i go to raise my memory clock and core clock up by only 100 each, And i get crashes. Sometimes itll crash and say nvidia driver has crashed and recovered blah blah blah, And sometimes, it'll crash And my monitor will say no signal, i must reboot my pc for everything to work again, (AKA the driver doesn't recover lol)

I have no idea why this is happening, I should also mention that i turned up the pci e bus on my motherboard to 150 and that didn't help. Ive tried Rolling back the driver and still its happening. I might need to go back past 3XX.XX Because ive heard its helped some people. I just dont understand why its crashing like this

Crashing means OC is too high you might want to tone it down to +50 on core and +75 on mem


Can't be pushing those little cards too much

not everything can be overclocked. sometimes you just get the one bad egg that wont go above stock clocks.

to be honest youre not going to see life changing benifits from overclocking a gtx 650ti, a few frames here or there. but its not going to be the difference between high settings and ultra settings on a game.

I have a Gigabyte OC card and i can tell you it's already beefed up from stock clocks chances are you will only be able to notch 50 or less on the core and about the same for mem

I know my card came hefty and could only gain a few more mhz which really doesn't help

Overclocking the PCIe bus on the motherboard can cause instability as well.
