I just bought a new PC last month, and I have upgraded it's power supply and video card. The Galaxy GTX 460 768 mb. It won't show up in device manager, but the fan is runs smoothly. I've got a 900 watt PSU and everything is plugged in correctly

I also have another card, the fan runs but the card isn't recognized by my PC =\

Can you check that you plugged the monitor cable into your new GTX 460 and not the motherboard onboard graphics socket. Plus check that the 2 x 6 pin pci-e power cables from the PSU is attached to the card.

Thanks for your reply
Everything is connected fine, the problem is the card won't show up in device manager. When I set my BIOS to PEG none of my monitors work. When its IGD/PEG My cable in the onboard works but not the one in my graphics card. I can't install drivers because I get the "Can't find compatible hardware"

I suppose I should have stated that first eh?

I suggest an experiment:

Uninstall the drivers for your onboard graphics.

Power down the PC.

Install your new GTX460. Connect the monitor to it.

Start up.

Any luck?

Yes! actually! Thank you very much. Except now when I try to extend my screen it says my second monitor(TV) isn't supported...but when I clone the desktop it shows up...
