graphics card question

ok i bought a laptop it wasnt built for gaming i wish i would have known that before :( so i got to looking for a while to look for a cheap laptop graphics card i found one the GeForce 9500 GT but idk if i can put it on my laptop or you guys can tell me a cheap laptop graphics card this one is $44.99 my budget is $80 i want to play a game like for example mass effect 2 at med/max (i dont play it just a example) my laptop can play these games but super laggy on low settings laggy to the point where i just wana throw my laptop out the window :)

Hate to break the news to you, but if your laptop wasn't a gaming laptop going in, then there is no such thing as a graphics card for it.

I have read of external graphics adapters, but they'd most likely be expensive and they'd probably require the use of an external monitor as well.

You have a laptop? The answer is no. A budget laptop, or one you say is not a bonafide gaming laptop, will not have the ability to add a card to it. the add on cards, like in my signature, for example, are for desktop pcs.
