What brand do you prefer? ATI or Nvidia?

And please can you tell me your CPU name and model? (dual core CPU could refer to Intel Pentium D CPUs, Intel Core 2 Duo CPUs,...)

i have intel dual core processor 3 ghz
resolution on my screen is 1600 x 900 ..

The Gefore 660Ti would handle those perfectly. It's definitely the best card to get for under $300 but the HD7850 will also be nice alternative.

A GTX 660 Ti will be bottlenecked if you have a Pentium Dual Core...

Go for a mid-range card like the GTS 450
