I bought an Acer 22' widescreen several months ago. Had it hooked up with a VGA cable. It had double ghosting fuzzy looking picture on screen. Realized it had a DVI connector on the video card & the monitor, also. I disconnected the VGA cable. Found a DVI cable, plugged it in. Bingo, instant clear sharp picture on the screen.
In researching your computer & monitor specs you have HDMI on both. This will get you the best clearest & sharpest picture on your equipment.
It will probably be the best $10 - $15 investment you spend to enjoy your equipment.
In fact, have you looked at the misc stuff you got with your monitor ? there might be a HDMI cable already included with it.
