GRLFP is compressed???

hi guys/gals

I recently tried to make some room on my hard drive and after my first restart since doing so i am getting...

GRLFP is compressed
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to Restart

i get the dell vostro 220 start up screen and then this black screen that says that.
If you hit ctrl alt del it just goes right back to the same screen.
Ive been searching online for anything related to this and cant find anything. Ive inserted windows 7 disc- tried system repair several times, Ive tried system restore which just brought me to the same screen again and i went to the load drivers option, right clicked on c drive-properties and clicked on "compress this drive to save disk space" to uncompress it. Nothing has worked if you google it nothing comes up. i would greatly appreciate any help or advice. thanks

GRLFP file is or does ( yes I googled it) You obviously need it. If the de-compress doesnt work and repair install doesnt as well you may have to re-install the OS

Do you have a win 7 dvd that works? have you tried it on another machine to be sure?

yes i do have a windows 7 disc that works...i was 2 secs way from reformatting but decided to check on here before doing so. im not even sure that would fix it because i have no idea what this means nor am i a genius with comps...
