Groove GFS Browser Helper Add-on Won't Enable

I had to reset IE9 to its default settings because of some problem with the History. When I was re-enabling my add-ons, Groove GFS Browser Helper wouldn't enable. If I clicked "Enable", nothing would happen. First of all, what exactly is this add-on? Is it necessary to enable? If it is, how do I enable it?

Most links are about how to disable the exe. I'd think if you ran the Office installer, and it has a repair option, this is the 1st thing I would do. I see 2007 at least has a diagnostic option, and a command line option.

Thank you for the reply, however, after researching some in this forum, I've decided that that issue is of little consequence.

My bigger problem was with Silverlight not running on IE9, and have decided that MS won't support its own software. My browser prefrence will be Chrome, when I need to see such web content or do online banking (due to flash player issues in IE9).
