Update: I made a system restore disk using my mothers computer and managed to get to the command prompt to type: "bootrec.exe /fix mbr"
Next thing I know my computer is fixed

So my C: drive was running out of space. And fast. I have four partitions, two with 1 TB and another with about 500 GB, and then this one with just 58 GB. So I scope around the internet for two hours last night and I found various tools to help merge partitions. It needed a reboot so I rebooted and then kept getting:
Error unknown filesystem
Grub Rescue>

I have no idea what to do. This is a custom built computer, built by an ex friend. It has different OS's, but I obviously use Windows 7. Any idea what I'm supposed to do?

Give us some more info about what was in each partition.

It sounds as if you merged your System Reserved partition with something else.......but Im guessing now since there isn't enough detail to go on.
