Can't run GTA IV. I get the error "DD3D50"
I changed it to Windows XP Service Pack 3.
Still doesn't work.

My System Specs:

System Manufacturer: HP-Pavilion
System Model: p6204y
Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5400 @ 2.70GHz
Memory: 6144MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11

The dd3d error is direct draw 3d, I suspect your hardware is not up to the job, more specifically your graphics chip.

GTA iv is one of the most resource demanding games there is, getting it to even start on integrated graphics would be a miracle.

I'll dig around see what I come up with.

i was getting this message when i was trying to start gta4 up with enb series and the thing that fixed it was downloading dx9 DirectX - Download
but its gonna run really -really-really bad on ure pc

Ok! I've updated it with most recent patch.
Now I get the error "Shader Model 3.0 or higher is required"

a 200 series nvidia board should do the job
from 8800 and up will work just fine
