I am buying an Alienware and it comes with a GTX 670. Is this a good graphics card, can it handle 3D and where on the pecking order does it come, is it one of the best card's out there for instance?

Hi Bomber,

The 670 is a fantastic card, it was for a long time one of the best GPU's just below the 680, but in the last couple of weeks the latest generation GTX 770 was released, it out performs it by quite a bit and is actually faster than the previous generation 680.

Don't get me wrong it's still a great card that will play anything on very high settings and should do for some time to come.

Paul.

The 670 is a good choice for gamers at this time, sure to run ALL current crop of games, and those currently in development, just fine if that was your concern.

The 670 series and better for Nvidia is good2go for a while.
AMD wise, that would start at the Radeon HD 79xx series.

Not saying the ones just below these aren't good cards, they are, for now, also.
