hey can someone help me choose a new gpu please!

i have a geforce 650 1gb and i was looking to upgrade to either a gtx 750ti oc 2gb or a radeon r9 270x.
i have an i5 3570k i know atm my gpu is holding me back but i want to get a card that can handle video editing as well as getting good fps on games. i found this image online and it looks like radeon r9 270x beats the render test by miles.

My question is what atm is holding my computer back on hardware is it my gpu or cpu and would they work well together?
