I don't think it's from Nvidia themselves. It seems to be something just Inno3D and EVGA are coughing up.

And I was re-reading your post about the GT300s, and I don't think the GT200s are the "trickle tech" from it, as the GT300 is a whole new architecture, on a 40nm chip. The GTX260s are basically just a chopped up 285 as chips that don't meet the requirements are just binned as a 260.:huh:
