Guest account access denied.

HI. Need total help here. I have a Dell computer. Desktop. Windows 7 Ultimate. I have an administr account with a password. Then, like 2 years ago or a bit longer I created a guest account without password. I am using it since then. And have stored a bunch of important files. Now, I can't access that account. The message says: " THE GROUP POLICY CLIENT FAILED TO LOG IN. ACCESS IS DENIED"
And thats it. No more access since 10 days. The administrative account has access with the password. And I created a third account without password which also has access. The problem is that guest account. No way I can access anything. NO idea what to do!
All your help, with detailed steps will really really save be eternally appreciated!

Try adding a password to the guest account, such as "guest"

If that doesn't work try looking in the Group Policy Editor to change the policy. Something may have changed a Registry setting. GPE is just an editor that stores the info in the Registry.

Thanks Miles, I went to do that but the ONLY options that gives me is "change picture and Turn off guest account"

You're right. The Guest account is not allowed a password. I would try to allow access using this:

If that doesn't work, my inclination would be to back up the files, then delete the guest account. Then enable it again. But if the files are important I would use them from an account in the Administrator Group. My guess would be "Guest" is the least tested user account on the system. After all, it's designed as a throw away. No user can even save preferences.

Yes I can access the adm account. But I need access to the GUEST account. The one Im having problems with. How can I access the files from the GUEST account, the one that dsnt grant access? From the Adm account.....

Unfortunately in Windows, user account corruption is a common occurrence. There seems to be no efficient way to analyze it. Most people just create another account and move the data to get rid of the issue.
