Hi all, does anyone have a step by step guide to installing WIN7 Home Premium on a brand new Crucial Real SSD c300 64bg drive? Is there anything special I should know or do? It will be installed on my first build. Here are the specs:

Install it the regular way, and make sure there are no partitions on the disk, if there are, delete them, and let windows setup create them.

Hello RJ,

Since it's a new SSD, there's nothing special that you have to do. You can just do a normal clean install of Windows 7 like you would on any other SATA/AHCI HDD.

When you are done with the installation, make sure that Disk Defrag is disabled.

And if you do not use hibernation, you may also want to delete the hiberfile. The Command is : powercfg.exe -h off It saves you a few GIGs on the SSD. All the other OS files should stay on the SSD.
