The audio got really bad at the end.

I heard about these recently actually. Was talking with the guy who runs the machine shop at the soon to be my college and he said as soon as he heard about them he called the guy and ordered 2. He said he wasn't ready to start production yet, but he said I don't care what they cost, put me on a list for 2.
That's how much he liked them.

Oh, I think it's really cool how he thought of that.
Not sure I could have figured out that using the electrical conductivity from your finger to trigger a stop block, but I am glad someone did.
Just don't try to cut metal with this saw, haha.

Now, we need something like this for metal saws......

Great video Lpt,

Cool idea, my grandpa lost part of a finger on a tablesaw. The first thing he taught me was how NOT to lose a finger on a table saw. I still have all of them and I was a cabinet maker for 10 years.

That would be a good thing for schools or home shops I don't think the industry would pick it up just because it would be a serious exchange of parts every time it got triggered.

That was impressive, although on first seeing the title of the thread I didn't know what to expect after all a guy and a shop could have meant anything, he might have been selling clothes.

Saying that though I used to use one of those plus a variety of other types of saw in a job I had when young, it was a woodworking factory.
