Hackshield-related Bluescreen problem.

Games that run hackshield will bluescreen my PC.

The boot up process of the game works properly and I'm able to get into the game. Once I start playing, my computer will bluescreen after 2-4 minutes.

This problem applies to all games that use hackshield.

I have factory resetted my computer to tackle this problem and it still plagues my PC before and after the reset.

I appreciate any help in solving this problem.

Attached are the files that were created by Windows when it recovered from the bluescreen.

Follow:
1. Log in as administrator, open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Windows\Minidump
2. Delete all .dmp files in that folder
3. Run Driver Verifier as follows:

Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

Driver Verifier will cause your computer to run very sluggishly - this is normal. What it is trying to do is force your system to BSOD and isolate the offending driver/s. When it does, reboot, disable driver verifier, reboot as normal, re-run the DM Log Collector, and upload the new ZIP file here.

I recommend creating a system restore point before turning on driver verifier:

If your system fails to boot to desktop once driver verifier is enabled, turn it off by booting into Safe Mode:

I ran the Verifier for more than 24 hours and there was no BSOD and I have turned it off.

So we can conclude that there do not appear to be any 3rd party drivers responsible for the crashes.

My computer is stable. I can do work, surf, etc. Also I even can run games that are even more demanding, but when I run a game that uses hackshield, it will Bluescreen me.

Sorry, but I'm out of ideas. In summary:

  • Without HackShield invoked - system 100% stable
  • With HackShield invoked - system BSOD's
The cause therefore must lie with HackShield. The only thing I can suggest is to contact AhnLabs and see if they can help you.
