So, what's my problem, i've read some threads about halo 2 on windows 7, but none of them suitable for my case.

Plz, i need help.

What third party security AV are you using? Its firewall might blocked the connection while you trying to access online. Also try to run game as administrator (Right click-->run as administrator).

Hi Tuan,
I'm using Free Avira, and i've tried run under administrator, tick the compability mode as windows vista sp2, but it's still not working while the firewall is turnoff, and there is no error message.
The task manager show me halo2 process always occupy 50% processor, is that wrong? Or must i turn some windows service on ?

Did you dl and run the installer? Same thing occur?

No, there's no bug in 7 that would prevent you from playing the game. It's a software (driver) conflict you've got to find and resolve.

If it were me, I would, as Robin suggested, update my graphics drivers. Only this time, after you've downloaded the latest drivers, don't install them over your current set. Download and install Driver Sweeper: Guru3D - Driver Sweeper

Uninstall your video drivers, then reboot into safe mode (tap the F8 key at reboot). In safe mode, run Driver Sweeper and place a check on the ATI box... let it delete all traces of ATI drivers. When it's done (which is fast), reboot normally and install the 10.6 drivers.

Let's see if that, along with having the latest DirectX doesn't solve the problem?
