A client has been complaining about hanging and freezing upon shutdown.

The screen is the normal blue screen (not BSOD just the standard Windows 7 shutdown screen) with a "windows 7 professional" at the bottom and the little circle that says "shutting down" in the middle.

This started happening to my machine as well - so I'm wondering if it's related to a Java update or something similar. Either way I'd like to know what it is and how to fix.

Any thoughts/ideas appreciated.

Thx.

Were you able to disable Java or remove it from a machine?
