My system is setup as a server right now with multiple hard drives and the rest of the home network's computers connect through mine for internet, printing, Faxing, even Skype calls. Well I was pulling apart an old broken computer which contained a small Maxtor IDE Pata HDD that still worked so I decided to use it for the extra space. (yes I wiped it and scanned it for viruses before installing it.) However, when I plugged it in it showed up as 2 seperate hard drives. 1 displays at 9.66 GB free of 9.74 GB and the other is 64.6 GB free of 64.7 GB. Now I can format them seperately, but there is always a tiny bit of info left on drive according to its properties even though it's technically empty. How can I unpartition the Hard Drive so it shows up as 1 in My Computer window andwhat is the tiny fraction of random unfindable info left on them? I've used google and didn't get much help.
