Hard drive replacement

Hi, I was wondering, if I got a new 500gb internal drive cause my old one is bad, would I be able to transfer everything (Including my seven install) onto the new drive? and if yes, how would I go about doing so?

Attach the new one to your system, then run some software like Norton Ghost to copy the old drive to the new one. Remove old drive after.

If your laptop only has room for one hard drive you will need to image it to cd/dvd or use another machine to image from drive to drive.

Or you can get a USB cable to allow for use of the drive temporarily as an external drive. They sell for like $25, which is better than trying to buy a drive caddy from Dell for a single or two time use (those usually run a lot higher, on the order of $150 to $250 IIRC).
