Hello all, I need to resolve the following issue and need assistance:
ISSUE: I have a dell desktop that has gone into failure unkown. Valueable music libraries are stored on the hard drive. I suspect the hard drive is still intact!
QUESTION: Can I extract the hard drive from the terminal machine which was an XP pro 32 bit and install to a healthy 64 bit Windows 7 machine and retrieve and back up the music libraries?

Yes you should be able to
At worst the 7OS will deny you access to the other HDD but you can easily change permissions/ownership of the other HDD to gain full access.

Remove whatever files you want, format it then you got a spare hdd
