hard drive???

Hi all,i just brought a laptop with out a hard drive.I know its a 2.5 inch ide,The ? is will and brand work or does it have to be specific for the model notebook i have , Is a Vaio by the way.Just need to know before i buy one off of E-bay.

any hdd will work as long as its a 2.5 inch ide, the connections are not proprietary to one brand, they are universal it will fit in any laptop with a 2.5 ide.
