Harddrive error fix program?

Hi there, just started to organise my files on my external HDD this morning and some of them couldn't move or copy. The files are fresh from my mobile, pics and vids, so I figured I'd be a HDD problem with bad sectors. Action Center also says the same.

I tried the windows built-in feature of error checking, but it only works for some places in the harddrive, like my torrents and text files, everything else remains a mess...

So, yes, you figured out the question already huh? Sure - Where can I find free or up to 100$ perfectly working software to fix the errors on my EXTERNAL HDD?

You can low level format it which pretty much wipes it with zeroes so it's basically brand new..

Any way I could save my data or just erase the files causing problems? THNX previously, and btw I have the same videocard as you! ATI owns!

Thread can be removed, problem solved. I used CMD> chkdsk /f
