It`s a process of elimination, Dis connect everything from your pc, re boot, use it for an hour, do you get any sounds ?

Then connect each device 1 at a time to figure out the issue.

actually l havent had any sounds, just a massive svchost file again.. that said for some reason it grew to 2gb and now its gone back to what ld usually expect it as.. as weird as it may sound lve never even come close to using the full 8gb of ram l have, l usually use no more than 25% idling to 39% while browsing (firefox hogs memory which can sometimes be annoying), but without my browser open l was using like 60% which is unusual for a clean install thats less than 10hrs old, at least in my experiences, however the svchost that grew has shrunk now, tho it did grow around the time windows update happened on OS start so lm wondering if its related tho it never did that before reinstalling, l keep on finding new annoyances every install LOL, tho since lve made a backup image now at least l can restore and know what l need to fix.

You must have a lot of something running in the background.
I'm on this forum using FF and MSE along with Malwarebytes Premium and I'm only using 1.7 gigs of ram out of 12 gigs installed.

Have you checked msconfig Startup and NON Microsoft Services.

indeed, lve set it up exactly like my previous install with regards to whats running and disabled everything l dont need.

If Firefox is exhibiting a memory leak then you must have a bad install.
Uninstall Firefox completely and download a new, clean file and try again.
If there was something wrong with Firefox then we would all be seeing it.

I think you need to stay focused on USB devices, and possibly virtual devices. I believe that is where you will find the offending problem.
AddRAM's post #21 describes the best method of doing so.

Things like svchost are a red herring IMHO. Like VSS Service, I can't see a connection between what it does and the disconnect notification.

From MS:

"Svchost.exe is a process on your computer that hosts, or contains, other individual services that Windows uses to perform various functions. For example, Windows Defender uses a service that is hosted by a svchost.exe process.
There can be multiple instances of svchost.exe running on your computer, with each instance containing different services. One instance of svchost.exe might host a single service for a program, and another instance might host several services related to Windows. You can use Task Manager to view which services are running under each instance of svchost.exe."

Can't see how running core Windows services would disconnect hardware.

touch wood lve not received any of the annoying sounds yet (but its only been a day so far of a clean install), one thing that might be worth mentioning is that between my first and second install the original my usb devices didnt work (if l remember correctly l ended up using a ps2 keyboard in order to get the usb drivers installed) until l installed drivers, this time however l had usb devices from the get go, tho it could have been because l had issues being able to use my usb mouse without a ps2 keyboard connected while going through the installer.

also l did have some issues with bsods which l was told was related to my usb 3.0 drivers (tho they resolved themselves when l removed one of the matched pairs of ram (l used two different matched pairs and my old pair didnt like the new pair), tho it also picked up my virus protection in bsod info l think.. tho l know usb drivers were flagged, this time l went with the ones directly from intel rather than gigabyte.

for the moment (unless l start hearing the sounds again) my only issue is trying to force smart recovery2 to use english within the GUI, you see l have my system local set to japanese due to some of the programs l run however it has the unfortunate annoyance of changing the GUI language and l cant seem to find out how to change that.

If you are using USB mouse or keyboard I recommend trying USB 2.0 for them. Some mouses and keyboards even though their specs say 3.0 don't work properly in 3.0 but do in 2.0.
Humans can't move a mouse or type fast enough to even get close to USB 2.0 speeds let along 3.0 speeds.

both are in usb 2.0 ports, you see my motherboard is interesting, it has two usb 2.0 which it suggests using keyboard/mouse in and 6 usb 3.0, the only problem is if l wanted to use ps2 mouse "and" keyboard l cant, its either one or the other as the port is either for a mouse or keyboard so its a good job l porefer usb.

well reinstalling has decreased the amount of annoying detection sounds, but it hasnt seemed to stop them.

lve noticed a couple when connecting an external (l'll get a disconnection then reconnection sound), but the most annoying is the random detection sound l hear.. the strangest part is that they have all happened as lve walked into the room..

now granted the first two l remember happened before l reinstalled, however one happened about 30mins ago before l turned on the monitor, ld just popped out of my room for something, as l came back through the door the speakers sounded a connection tone.. once or twice l can put down to coincidence by three times (or at least three times l remember), only thing l can put it down to is change in ambient temp (lm not a fan of heating, or at least the sauna of the rest of the house, so my room is always the coolest in the house). its just strange that there isnt a log which collects information on devices disconnecting and reconnecting.

Still sounds like a Smart T.V. thing. I read somewhere that when booting (turning on) some Smart T.V. will go back to default and monitor with microphone and camera.
So your movement or noise could be making these things work.

You could cover the microphone and camera to see if that helps.

The only other thing I can think of is a loose connection some where including wall connection and or surge protector. A loose connection could be picking up a small vibration from you entering the room.

definitely not the first thing, as smart as my TV gets is it has a USB connection to connect a thumb drive to.. it doesnt have any other smart features.

however you have an interesting idea with regards to surge protection, l did replace one about 5 months ago.. its definitely not one of the best ones lve used, l had to make do with the crappy 6 plug one over the usual higher standard ones as that was all l could get at short notice.. however l do plan on getting a better one and must admit l dont remember it doing the extra connection sounds outside of the occasional one when connecting/disconnecting externals when l was using the higher quality ones.
