Solved Has anyone ever seen anything like this - Firefox and Schannel ERROR

I have just completed my sixth install on this machine, So far this Build has been the best with a few minor quarks that I am working out. This issue is as far as I know not causing me any harm, but as a old retired maintenance tech, this problem has piqued my curiosity and I would like to know the cause if anyone can explain it to my I would be in your debt.

What I've done so far.
1. Reinstalled Firefox.
2. Uninstalled Firefox.
3. Reinstalled Firefox.
4. Made sure Firefox was not running at 17:32:29
5. Tried to take Snippet of Process Explorer at the above time. Missed it by 1/4 seconds, but saw Two red lines appear in sequence for fraction of a second.

First off why not try R3dfox? It's based upon a more updated version of Firefox backported to Windows 7 GitHub - Eclipse-Community/r3dfox: r3dfox is a modern Firefox based web browser for Windows Vista & 7. SourceForge link for downloading with older browsers. [url]https://sourceforge.net/projects/r3dfox/ . GitHub[/url] Firefox 115 probably won't be supported much longer. Outside of that please explain what's going on. What error did you get? Had you installed Firefox 115? That's the last version of Firefox for 7 or 8.

Thank you for your reply and for the tip on new browser. I had thought there was an attached PDF file but maybe it did not attach, I have taken snips of the spreadsheet. My PC keeps giving event codes like clockwork every day at the same time except the first time. all except one involve Firefox. Like I said not giving me issues that I am aware of, but I have never seen anything like this before from any machine I have ever worked on. I would just like to know why. If you have any ideas I would love to hear them. I am currently working with Avira on a much bigger issue with my PC and their software which brought me to this 6th build in 50 days.

The "Firefox Default Browser Agent" error, often appearing in Windows Event Viewer, is a scheduled task designed to ensure Firefox remains your default browser and reports data back to Mozilla
. It can be resolved by disabling the task in about:config, disabling telemetry, or removing the task from the Windows Task Scheduler.



Methods to Fix "Default Browser Agent" Not Found

• Disable via about:config (Recommended):
  • Type about:config in the Firefox address bar and press Enter.
  • Click "Accept the Risk and Continue".
  • Search for default-browser-agent.enabled.
  • Toggle the value to false.
• Remove from Windows Task Scheduler:
  • Open the Windows Start menu and search for Task Scheduler.
  • Navigate to Task Scheduler Library -> Mozilla.
  • Right-click on Firefox Default Browser Agent and select Disable or Delete.
• Disable Telemetry:
  • Go to Firefox Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Firefox Data Collection and Use.
  • Uncheck all options to stop sending data.

Wow! Just completed the recommended action, pretty easy. I will check Events at 5:35 PM and see, got a feeling you did it though. I figured it had to be something like this with the Timing down to the seconds, just did not have a clue what it was. Thank you very much for your time!

Yes, Thank goodness. But unfortunately it is still happening...

It is fixed! It was the task manager, sort of. It may actually be a Group Policy setting from the computer that was denying the task that was the problem, I think, see attachments. Anyway I figured out how to disable the Task and no more 5:32:29 PM events.

So, big shout out for helping me solve this issue! I have a couple more if you have the time?
