Has anyone heard of the "Godzilla" antivirus?

Hello

My friend allowed a "tech support" person to access her computer remotely. One of the things that he did to her PC was to download and install an antivirus program called "Godzilla." She had numerous problems afterward and by the time she gave me her computer to look at, the browser had been hijacked. I have never heard of this antivirus and I am quite suspicious about what was done.

I did and it came up empty.

i googled it and pretty much all that came up was "how to remove godzilla freeware" seems alot of people who have had it on their system wants rid, if you want another anti virus then im sure the more techy guys will be happy to help, i use AVG and have no problems, but i also run Adwcleaner, malwarebytes, Junkware Removal tool and a few other programs around every week or two just to make sure im fully protected

RE: Devlin1888: I googled it too and that is pretty much what I got. My preference is Microsoft Sercurity Essentials. I have used AVG in the past and it worked fine. I think my friend was scammed and in the process all she got in return for paying for something ended up with lots of malware. After many attempts at removing, I ended up reinstalling the OS. Things are running OK now. Thanks for your input
