Oh, you have big problem now

I see you are using MiniTool Partition Wizard. That is one good tool, I know for this.
In this application you can make Bootable version of this I think , or you can download it directly from MiniTool website. You can try to fix that problem with this bootable tool.

If that dont help , there is small option Wipe Disk (there is Wipe Partition too, but try with Wipe Disk first). Maybe that can revive your hard disk but use it at your own risk. I didnt tested it , I never needn't to do anything like this.

If you do it , and after all this you have problem with your Hard Drive........ I'm sorry.

Yeah trouble is T I don't think the wretched things worth it to be honest I did try the wipe with CC but it seems nothing can touch it and even the makers tool is stumped so rather than risk anything getting near or even close to my SSD I'll trash the rotten thing.

Thing is I reckon using the secure erase to get rid of my old system image before I gave it away was the problem as it does give that warning I suppose re bricking.

A secure erase shouldn't do that. Is there a reason you ran it from Parted Magic, as opposed to doing a clean all from diskpart?

How old is this drive? Has it been giving issues/problems before?

No particular reason mate the disk was handy so I put it through. The drive itself is about 8months old been used twice the last was system image just two days ago. As a matter of fact I have had more trouble with WD externals thats why I got Seagates.
So am back to my 3.0 USB WD now - bit erm lot quicker anyway. just that I did up an older Compaq for a someone who couldn't afford a machine at all and thought as it was lying around I might as well use it as it had to be a 2.0 USB drive for it.

LBA errors (as per the SeaTools diagnostic) are usually fatal, but I still can't but help wonder what would happen if we tried to look at this drive using a Linux distribution....

It sounds as if you are happy to write it off, but if you do want to have one last crack at it with a Debian bootable USB flash drive, let me know and I'll happily walk you through it.

Did you try to initialize the disk in Disk Management. You have to right click in the left pane where it says 'Disk5'

I think Secure Erase would work faster than Clean All. I ran Clean All on a 500GB drive once and it took hours to complete. anyway will the Secure erase work on a HDD? I know it does on a SSD with its internal erase command.

Yep Gary it did run real quick but didn't even make two minutes of running before it spat the dummy.
