I just reinstalled Windows 764bit and have only updated the chipset driver using the Intel Driver Update Utility. The utility is telling me that my current wired Ethernet driver is the:
Product Detected Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20) Current Driver Installed 7.2.1127.2008
my notebook manufacturers last posted driver is from 2008 and called:
Realtek 8169/8168/8101 PCI/PCIe NDIS6 driver (for Windows Vista)
I am searching the Realtek site now for the most current drivers because i assume its best to use them. Anyway, I think i narrowed it down to 2 drivers. Can someone please tell me which would be correct and why (i don't wish to remain ignorant)? Find both links below and thanks for the help.
You might have to go with the Vista 64bit I am at a bit of a loss as to where you got the Realtek links from to be honest in any case whatever you download yo can always uninstall again .
