dewirox, thank you for your interest. I am aware of your Step 2 instructions, but it did not work for me. Also, there was no need to convert the disk as it was already MBR. I can only assume that the Acer Ultrabook that I purchased has new firmware and intended for Windows 10 only. I am sure that it would have not been as difficult if Windows 7 had previously been installed and setup on the ultrabook as the firmware may then have been 'different'. However, I am happy that it all worked out for you.
