Solved Have too many partitions to dual boot windows 10

I would like to install W10 to the unallocated space, but got an error saying I had too many partions, what do I do? My other computer doesn't have a "Hibernation Partition", can I delete it somehow, because I can't delete it from the disc manager? If I do delete it, do I lose my ability to hibernate my laptop?

According to Dell Returning 8GB hibernation partition to main OS partition - Laptop General Hardware Forum - Laptop - Dell Community will render the Recovery partition useless so best to get rid of them both (saving only the OEM partition if you can still boot Dell Hardware Diagnostics from F12 Menu) when ready to Clean Reinstall Windows 7.

Another solution is to use free Partition Wizard to convert C to Logical: How to set partition as Primary or Logical with Partition Wizard

Then create the new OS partition as another Logical. Partition Wizard Create Partition - Video Help

You can have a total or four Primary partitions or 3 Logical and unlimited contiguous (adjacent) Logical partitions. The System partition (in this case Recovery) must remain Primary to continue booting Win7 for now unless you are ready to get rid of it too which requires additional steps.

The OEM partition contains Dell Hardware Diagnostics from F12 Menu which I would keep as long as these remain bootable since they are valuable.

Once you've got your partition ready here's how to Clean Install Windows 10 Technical Preview
which should configure a Dual Boot with Win7 still booted from the Dell Recovery (System) partition but if not then install to Windows 10 EasyBCD (click Download - no Name or Email required) to add Win7 to a Dual Boot.
