Hello, I've tried every solution to try to gain access to some files on my computer. I've tried using unlocker, and other right-clicky programs. I've tried removing and re-adding myself to the group with full control via security > Edit...

I'm totally stumped!

Any ideas?

:confused:

Is there a commonality regarding file extensions that are denying access, such as; .doc, .pdf, .jpg, etc?

The information I have regarding the first three files is;

.agr=APM Graph Vector Graphic
.aif=Audio Interchange File or SymbianOS Application Information File
.aiff=Audio Interchange File

Not the usual Windows 7 extensions. I don't have any knowledge of what program would have installed them. With that said, you could try running System File Checker, SFC, and see if it helps;

Please post back the results.

Hi folks, thanks for the replies. I ran the scannow and there were no issues identified.

I've just gone ahead and deleted the .agr files because those aren't needed. What's left are the .aiff and .aif files. There were copied over from a Mac...perhaps that's the issue. It's not the end of the world to just delete them if there's no easy solution...would be nice to keep them though.

Thanks!
