I also have an issue with many programs not working and get a not responding (top left corner of window)
Simply downloading a program (MBAM* or any other legitimate security application) would not break your internet access or browser.
Did you run a scan with MBAM and it detected and removed malware?
Some types of malware (and the removal thereof) can result in problems with internet access.
This can often be repaired with the help of malware experts and the guided use of special tools.
it says thatversion of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running check computers system information to see whether you need an x86 (32bit)or x 64 (64 bit) version of the program and contact the software publisher.
There is only one version of the MBAM installer; there are not separate 32-bit or 64-bit versions.
That particular message likewise suggests the possibility of infection.

Just curious, did you get this from the Malwarebytes site or did you d/l it from a file hosting site. If you d/l ed it from anywhere else aside from the official site, you may have gotten several PUP's that are causing the problem. Best to steer clear of file hosting sites.
Malwarebytes free is an on demand scanner & would not interfere with web access.
It might be wise to d/l & run AdwCleaner and see what it finds.
