I've experienced a ton of problems over the years and this one is by far the most awkward!

Ever since I reformatted my PC ive been getting this problem

Problem: Whenever I launch a game, whether it's counterstrike source, Call of duty, Global agenda, etc, any game i have-

Whenever I launch the game it stalls and sits there...

that is until I either (windows key, or alt tab) and go to my computer and select the drive the game is installed ( C: drive ) and open it up in windows explorer and then the game just works instantly! ....

basically in shorter terms, i have to open C drive in windows explorer so my games actually launch and don't stall when first loading.....

it took me forever to find a solution to get my games to launch....

My conclusion is maybe my harddrives are bad??? or maybe there is something i need to turn off or on.....

Could i please get some assistance with this?

Have you tried runing chkdsk /f on the command prompt? that will check your hard drive for any errors and try to fix them on next reboot.

Perform the reformat and clean install/recovery partition backup utility installer again. Sometimes when the drive is being wiped it fails to get some of the previous install off, and can cause problems like this. If it fails again, then I'd start worrying about the HDD and throwing tests at it.
