Having trouble installing Windows XP mode.

As per instructions, I installed Windows XP mode first, then Windows Virtual PC. I installed to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows XP Mode" instead of the default. After creating the password (is there any way to avoid this?), I always get the error message...

Cannot start Windows Virtual PC while another virtualization software is running. Please close the other virtualization software and try again.

I don't think any thing else is running, but I exited the "MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD Manager" with no luck. I haven't tried uninstalling MagicISO because I need the program. Any suggestions?

Looks like you downloaded the 32-bit version.

Thanks for the advice. Actually I just installed it into that directory because the default directory they've chosen is too complicated to find. I'm 99% sure I downloaded the 64-bit version.

Edit: I tried installing into the "Program Files" directory and get the same message.

2nd Edit: I just tried uninstalling MagicISO with no luck.

After doing a search, the problem seems to be due to my Gigabyte motherboard or due to my processor. I'm going to update the BIOS and report back.

Edit: Problem fixed! For anyone else having this problem, just go to the Gigabyte website, find your motherboard BIOS, download the latest version, put it on a floppy, reboot and press Del then F8, and the rest is self explanatory.
