Ive been given a ATI HD Radeon 5770 For Chips as my mate said it didn't work, the culprit was just the Uf20 capacitor on the bottom had been "removed" <- i say that loosely lol, now i bought a new cap an soldered it onto the open socket right next to it (both slots touch the EXACT same parts of the board so i know its correct, but the problem is i don't think that was the only issue, i took it to bits and it looked like it had heat burn all in the sink, the fan had solid, yes solid dust inside it, is there a chance it fried totally?
i had to also buy a 6pin to molex connector but it doesn't look like the traditional type 3 black 2 yellow, i've researched the net and found that the one i have which is 2 red 2 yellow and 2 black the red logically should be there as on others the black is sitting on the 5v rail, would it be wise to attempt to try this card??

second, if this card does work (fingers crossed) will it benefit from the APU in anyway? its not specified that it will, the 6550 is the lowest, my CPU is the A8-6600k 3.9 Quad core. personal i don't think they will communicated on graphical terms, whats peoples ideas on that??

Pinout on the Cable is as follows

The black wire is ground, not the 5V rail.

So Why Is There A Red?
Manufacturer's choice, I suppose. That red wire is attached to the 12V Ground. Why they chose red instead of black is beyond me.

Just goes to show you, never rely on wire color to determine what line is what. I would suggest measuring the voltages on that connector with a multimeter before plugging it into the graphics card, but I think you'll find the following:

Yellow +12V
red: Ground
Black: Ground
