Alright, so I just realized that my Cable Co has a digital signal coming through my line and I switched my cable to be hooked up to the ATSC input on the back of my ASUS MyCinema tuner. Wow, for all the scoffing I've done at HD TV the last 3 years I am eating my foot right now...yum! So, my issue though is that after changing the input to the ATSC input I ran the tuner setup utility in WMC and now I have lost the ability to adjust the recording quality of TV. When I had the analog input I had settings like Best, Better, Gooder, Good, Not Good. There seems to be a complete absence of this functionality with the digital signal. So. what am I doing wrong I will give MS the credit up front that they didn't overlook this and Im silly and its there or just not a compatible feature for HD signals. WHen I go to Setting>TV>Recorder>Recorder Options. it says that I have alotted 400 GB of space and that it will accomodate 310 hrs or 46.5 HD. So how do I control the recording quality...I don't need to see The Office in DVD quality...

thanks

Please Help Me

OK I even understated the consumption of my storage space by the current default and seemingly unchangeable settings...last nights Office episode cost me 5.03 GB....Ouch with volumes like that TB drives are needed now...so am I stuck with this?

Thanks
