Hi I am posting this to find a solution to the resolution issue
Before i bought the hd6870 i was using a hd5770 that i still have but when it comes to switching resolutions the new card doesnt reconize the 1920/1080 it only reconizes the 23 inch 1680 x 1050
it kinda bothers me it wasnt like this before now it wont give me a option to fix resolution it says 1920x1080 but in turn it is really 1680x1050 i dont know if i need to re do the driver or what can someone give me a idea?

dont know if i need to re do the driver
If that means what I think it means and you swapped the cards without uninstalling and re-installing the driver, then that is what you should do.

I fully uninstalled all drivers related to the old card i even got rid of the main path folder in the c drive
So it is not me installing over old software I wondering if this happened to anyone else before this happened i wasnt getting the MLAA but i had the correct resoultion then one day the MLAA appeared and i didnt do any updates im useing the 10.11 driver no hot fix no anything
The resolution is fine on the other monitor but this particular issue just popped up
now if you look at the screen shot i just unchecked this box
I have not tryed to re issue the resolution on the bigger hdtv but you think when this box was checked it kept the resolution lower then expected ?
Or does it matter if it is checked or not cause it says something about hiding resolutions ?
any input would be fine it is not like it has to be done right away but i want to figure this out before it goes to far lol
and PS i dont use tuneup utilities for any optimizing resolution or anything i read that it was used and messed up resolution i dont use it for that purpose only to change boot logo's and such

im useing the 10.11 driver
That could be the problem there, there is no support for the new 6xxx cards in the 10.11. Until a 10.11 hotfix comes out you should be using either the 10.10 or the 10.10e hotfix,
