HDD backup help?

I have a HDD few days ago suddenly start making some clicks when windows start and some noise sound, this happen when windows is starting when screen bios finished and before windows loading pc start blocking and no move can anybody help me to backup somehow my files from HDD? Thanks for help..

Hello mate sounds like the hard drive may be going south - are the noises really loud??

Now one way of backing up your data is this http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/73828-imaging-free-macrium.html this way if you lose the drive and have to do a clean install your set up is there to be reinstated on the new drive.

Have you tried a drive test?? if not you could try this SeaTools for Windows | Seagate for starters.

Ok mate seems like the drive really is going home and if you need your data before it is too late try this
BOOTABLE UBUNTU
Make a bootable Ubuntu disk Get Ubuntu | Download | Ubuntu
Set the BIOS to boot from the optical when the machine boots it will show you a screen with TRY or INSTALL > select TRY not INSTALL
When it is finished - it takes very little time you will get a screen like in the pic .
Open the drive you want > User and dig down until you get to the data / settings you may be able to copy / paste the material you want to an external source or other installed drive doing this.
I am not sure if it will but I have recovered tons of data etc using this method both on "dead" or just plain drives that you cannot get data from using Windows.
