The HD might be dead - The easiest way would be to get a USB to Sata/IDE cable and test the drive on another machine via USB, the second easiest would be to get a 3.5 or 2.5 (depending upon size) external case and use USB to test the drive.
It may be that your HD has simply died....

nope
your Laptop's BIOS is too old....see if there is an updated BIOS for your lappy - same thing happened in the past with older BIOSs and Vista, I just forgot....

If your HDD has died changing a Laptop HD is really easy (even for the most "mechanically challenged" people with 2 left (or right) hands.
Just undo about 4 - 6 screws at the bottom of the laptop, remove the (usually rubber) spacer and unplug the 2.5 inch hard disk. Pop in a new one ( go for a nice big one -- I put a Hitachi 320 GB 2.5 inch HDD in my old laptop which only had an 80 GB disk.
These disks are CHEAP - a 120 - 160 GB won't cost you more than around 50 USD - if that.
Whilst the laptop is open put a 2GB memory slot in it (if yours only has a single slot) or add a 2GB slot if yours has 2 memory slots. This stuff also doesn't cost much and will rejuvenate even a quite old Laptop.
Note most laptop HDD's are PATA -- these have 2 slots one with 15 pins and a smaller one with 7 pins. Check before you buy a new one of course.
Unlike most items in a laptop these are easily accessible and almost anybody can do this stuff.
Cheers

johngalt you may be right, i have just buy a adapter to read the 2.5 from another PC and that what i found on it. (yeah it's running !)
so it's appear that all files needed for booting are placed in a new partition...
so maybe need a newer BIOS, or can't we force Seven setup to not create the new partion ? or at lease move those file into main partion at make it bootable ?
jimbo45 lol, i think i know who change a HHD drive, but here is not the purpose of this topic... (is find why win.7 7068 "corrupt" HDD)

to the "main" partiton i:
and i make actif the partion i:
and that work
(so happy) (but still remain "strange" hope this will be corrected in final version)
(how mark this topic as solved ?)

I marked it for you. As the thread started I believe that you can do it by editing your first post, which allows you to edit the title, which is where you add the Solved prefix.
Glad you got it working. I'd still opt for a new BIOS if one is available.
