HDD Help needed

I'm becoming increasingly convinced that you didn't actually format the drive, but install one OS on top of the other, and that's where these strange issues are coming from. Either that, or someone else has access to use your computer besides just you.

Deacon, that was my belief earlier and why I gave diskpart instructions to 'clean all' the drive then reinstall. At least that's what it sounds like to me or a bad Windows 7 disk. Of course, it could also be what was already said, that someone else is using the computer.

No one uses my computer, it's password protected.
And I am 100% sure I did a clean install
Exactly according to that tutorial in this forum.

What type hard drive do you have? Is it a mechanical hard drive or an SSD?

Mechanical hard drive
HDD not SSD

Brightstar, if you have copies of all info you need from that hard drive and are ready to clean install, go to post 20 on page 2 and follow those suggestions. If you do this, please follow them exactly. If you have any questions, please ask. You are fixing to wipe you hard drive completely clean and reinstall Windows.
