Im trying to install a fresh clean copy of windows 7 from ISO I put on a bootable usb. When I go to change my boot sequence in my BIOS menu before startup, I get an order of 5 boot sequences. My Usb is detected in the list, as well as my SATA 500gb HDD with my old windows os on it. Well the problem is, I can select the Bootable USB to be the boot sequence #1 Device, as well as for the rest of them, I can literally make every single one selected to Boot from the USB, but no matter what I try, my stupid windows keeps loading up and starting from my HDD. How is that even possible if my HDD isnt even selected in the boot sequence, and why wont my USB work? Ive also tried iso to bootable DVD and selected that in the boot sequence but it does the same thing. Please help ive been trying to do this for a week, bought dvds usb flash drives and still nothings working..

Ive searched other threads and searched google and my bios has no "safeboot" feature to turn off, no option to change to "csm/legacy" , i do not have any option to remove from boot I don't think.
Tried different USB ports to no avail as well. I just want my USB to load instead of my old windows 7 os on my HDD that isnt even in the boot sequence

A couple things you could try
Firstly try the usb in another machine to determine if it is the computer or the usb that is giving you the problem
Assuming the usb is bootable and ok rather than changing the boot order use the one time boot menu on startup (this is often F11 or F12)

Its possible you will see an entry for uefi usb hdd rather than standard usb hdd

You do not change the boot order when using a usb stick, you just choose the usb stick from the one time boot menu.

If you were to change the boot order to usb stick 1st, it would just boot from the usb stick over and over and you wouldn`t get anywhere.

Your boot order should always be dvd rom 1st, your HD or SSD 2nd, all others should be disabled if not used.

Do yourself a favor and just install windows with a dvd.
